POSITION SUMMARY

Provide essential and time-sensitive product, application, and market knowledge required to properly promote active products and to expand and grow the entire portfolio of Central's discrete semiconductor solutions by proposing differentiating products and services.  This position is based at Central's Corporate Headquarters in Hauppauge, NY; relocation assistance is available to a qualified hire who resides outside of the Long Island, NY area. 

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes market trends and competitors' developments to assist in carrying out corporate strategic plans.
  • Analyzes marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships in the semiconductor marketplace.
  • Evaluates demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing outlets.
  • Conducts secondary research, including locating and analyzing information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts.
  • Provides technical assistance to the sales team and manufacturers' representatives to support Central's global field sales efforts.
  • Provides monthly reports summarizing key accomplishments regarding efforts to support the sales team; provides quarterly reports with analysis of trends and new ideas/plans.
  • Assists Director of Marketing with corporate SWOT analysis and in identifying new market opportunities. 
  • Provides product training and other technical presentations in person and via web/phone, including Technology Road Map for Central's sales network.
  • Designs Go-To-Market literature for use by Central's sales team.
  • Screens, nurtures, and qualifies publication/ad generated sales leads for action by sales team.
  • Maintains and analyzes lead generation statistics and trends.
  • Examines ROI of individual marketing campaigns and prepares executive summaries.
  • Assists Director of Marketing with online support efforts and competitive analysis.
  • Maintains and manages literature requests for Central's sales network.
  • Prepares training modules for Central University training portal.
  • Attends trade shows to support sales team and to present of Central's latest and upcoming products.
  • May visit key customers to provide technical assistance and design support.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree at a four-year accredited College or University and 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or related electronic products.

Preferred

Analog design experience with an emphasis on discrete semiconductors and previous experience in product marketing is highly preferred. An MSEE degree, or working toward an MSEE degree, at an accredited College or University; minor in business/marketing or other relevant degree program; and previous experience working in a Marketing, Sales or Administrative capacity are all preferred. Familiar with ROI and SWOT analysis concepts.

TRAVEL

Travel up to 10% may be required.
