Performs discrete semiconductor device evaluation, testing, characterization, and related processes critical to new product qualification, product requalification and competitor benchmark testing through various inspections and tests including destructive and nondestructive tests.


    • Performs & records data from testing of semiconductor products and analyzes results.
    • Assists Quality and Engineering departments in development of testing techniques and use of laboratory equipment.
    • Observes safety rules, regulations, and procedures while operating all equipment.
    • Performs product qualification testing and prepares data summaries in accordance with applicable product qualification plans for product benchmarking, new product qualification, product requalification and approval.
    • Performs analyses of semiconductor products through various inspections and tests including destructive and nondestructive tests as directed.
    • Insures compliance with industry standards including JEDEC, Mil stds, etc.
    • Measures semiconductor devices and bare die using microscopy and mechanical methods, performs electrical testing using automated & manual test equipment, and records data documenting the findings.
    • Performs Quality support functions and provides assistance to other departments, such as QC, Production Test, and Engineering, as needed.
    • Works with lead engineer to develop qualification test plans for any new or changed product.
    • Performs QC inspections, as needed, in accordance with departmental procedures and work instructions.
    • Verifies conformance of products to dimensional specifications using a variety of measuring instruments.
    • Records results of inspections in the computer system and prepares inspection reports, identifying approved and rejected quantities, and full details of rejected devices.
    • Works independently to overcome obstacles in day-to-day department operations, keeping department supervisor/manager in the loop as necessary; when problems need to be escalated, presents suggested solutions to supervisor/manager.
    • Knows and understands Central's Quality Policy; is fully aware of Central's Quality Objectives and the associated measurements; and helps Central to continuously improve by recommending process and systems improvements.



Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. Knowledge of semiconductor testing.  


Associate degree in Electrical Engineering plus 1-3 years related experience; preferably with discrete semiconductors.
